Practical, trauma-informed programs designed to support women and children as they rebuild after domestic and family violence.
Our programs are delivered in small, capped groups to ensure safety, connection and meaningful support.
Programs run and rotate throughout the school term, with new intakes opening regularly.
Spots are limited.
Art Therapy Program
Facilitated by Jean Chopping
A gentle, creative program designed to support emotional expression, processing and healing through art. No previous art experience is needed.
4 week program
1 hour sessions
Small group format (max 10 participants)
Separate groups for women and children
Up to 40 women and 40 children supported each term
Provided free of charge to our community
About the Facilitator
Jean Chopping is a qualified art therapist and trauma-informed counsellor with a Master of Mental Health - Art Therapy.
She has experience supporting women through trauma, grief and domestic violence, using creative approaches to support healing, emotional expression and rebuilding.
Circle of Security Parenting Program
Facilitated by Joanne Macaulay
An evidence-based, attachment-focused parenting program that supports caregivers to better understand their child’s emotional needs and build stronger, more secure relationships.
8 week program
Small group format (max 12 participants)
Delivered in a safe, supportive environment

Recognise and respond to their child’s needs
Build stronger, more secure relationships
Support their child through big emotions
Feel more confident in their parenting

This program is designed for parents who:
Want to strengthen their relationship with their child
Are rebuilding stability and connection within their family
Want practical tools to better understand behaviour and emotional needs
About the Facilitator
Joanne Macaulay is the Founder and Senior Clinician at Grow Together in Buderim.
She is an occupational therapist with over 10 years’ experience supporting children and families, and holds a Master of Education specialising in behaviour.
Joanne is a trained Circle of Security facilitator and delivers the program in a practical, supportive and non-judgemental way, helping parents feel more confident, connected and equipped in their parenting.
How Services Will Be Delivered
As programs are developed and delivered, support may be offered through:
group-based education and workshops
facilitated wellbeing and therapeutic activities
peer-based connection spaces
guided information and navigation support
Programs will be delivered by appropriately trained facilitators and practitioners, informed by lived experience and trauma-informed practice.
