Volunteer
Be part of the change in our community.
The Heart of Our Organisation
Our volunteers play a vital role in creating a space that feels safe, welcoming and connected. Volunteers contribute flexibly, typically 1–2 shifts per week, and are always supported by staff or team leads.
All roles are designed to support staff-led operations and do not replace paid positions.
Volunteer Opportunities
We have a range of roles to suit different skills, backgrounds and availability. Whether you're a qualified professional or simply want to help where you can, there's a place for you here.
-
Qualified professionals offering trauma-informed support, guidance, education, or therapeutic services within the centre. If this sounds like you, please include more information about your area of training when you fill in the form below.
-
Help us create a warm, nourishing space by supporting our kitchen and café. We're looking for an experienced barista comfortable with a commercial machine, or someone who is willing to be up-skilled. Your contribution helps make the centre feel like somewhere women and children genuinely want to be.
-
Volunteering your skills to provide pre-made cakes, meals, salads and more for service within the centre. Baking is one of the simplest ways to make people feel at home — and we'd love to have you share that gift with our community.
-
Be the first face women and children see when they walk through our doors. This role involves welcoming visitors to the centre and ensuring they have completed their check-in information. It's about warmth, calm and making people feel safe from the moment they arrive.
-
Assisting our Centre COM with general admin and the day-to-day running of the centre. Ideal for someone with office experience who wants to contribute their organisational skills behind the scenes.
-
This role is open to women who have been through domestic and family violence themselves and would like to volunteer their time to connect with and build relationships with the women who come to the centre. This role is carefully supported by our staff team and further details will be discussed at interview.
-
Our care team volunteers provide general support across the centre, helping out where needed, supporting staff, and ensuring the space runs smoothly. A great all-rounder role for those who want to be hands-on.
